Ban-sur-Meurthe/Clefcy
is a small village made of several outports located on the
edge of the woods. The commune is 17-kilometer long. |

Altitude:
from 370m to 1306m. Nine towns / villages: Le Valtin, Plainfaing, Fraize,
Ban-sur-Meurthe/Clefcy, Anould, Saint-Léonard, Mandray,
Entre-deux-Eaux, Saulcy-sur-Meurthe. Whether
in wind, rain or brilliant sunshine, your stay in
Haute-Meurthe and in the Hautes-Vosges will not be long enough
to see all there is to see, or do all the activities that are
on offer. Fishing, skiing, mountain biking, walking, hiking
along marked trails and bungee jumping are all available. Of
course gourmets will not be disappointed either: you can
savour the munster cheese, smoked meat and ham & potatoes.

Gérardmer. Magnificent lake that you can visit by pedalo or
sightseeing boat. A tourist town in both summer and winter,
hosts the FANTASTIC'ART film festival (February). Daffodil
Fair in April, alpine & cross-country ski courses,
fireworks on July 14th & August 15th.

Traditional clog factory. Located in the centre of the valley of the lakes. Come
and discover the skills and traditions of a

The Straiture Gorge. Admire the spruces that are over two hundred years old
in these beautiful forests. Magnificent walks. Not to be
missed: the visit to the LANCOIR sawmill, (listed as a
historical monument).

Chaume de Sérichamp. Departure at Le Vic. Take the Louis François
forest road. It will lead you to the Chaume de Sérichamp from
where you will have a magnificent and protected view of the
Honeck, and the Gazon du Faing. |

Le Valtin.
The
panoramic trail that leaves from this picturesque little
village offers striking views over the valley. This path will
take you to Plainfaing where you can visit the Rudlin chapel,
which is looked after by volunteer heritage
enthusiasts.

The
Ballons des Vosges Nature Park |

Enjoy
our forets with their numerous marked trails.
Discover
the nature and heritage of this magnificent region. Among
other activities the Park offers you guided visits to discover
the flora and fauna, theme trips and walks, visits to mining
areas and wine trails. These visits take place throughout the
year. Places to see in the Alsace region, 15 km from
our lodges: gorgeous villages with flowers along the Alsacian
Wine Trail, Colmar, Ribeauville, Strasburg with its Cathedral,
not to mention the numerous Christmas Markets.

Gérardmer Xonrupt are a
real paradise for lovers of
open spaces, snowy forests and sporting activities. Several
resorts for Nordic, Alpine and cross-country skiing are
available. Cross-country skiing at the Xonrupt-Longemer
resort, Nordic skiing at the Bas-Rupts resort and
Alpine skiing or snowboarding at La Mauselaine resort,
simply choose the type you prefer.
You
can also visit the mountains with snowshoes at La Mauselaine
Alpine resort or the Bas-Rupts Nordic skiing resort. The ski
slopes at La Bresse, at Le Valtin and especially at Le
Bonhomme (nocturnal skiing) are not to be missed. Of course,
don’t forget the sledges so that your children can have fun
in the snow.
